Tracing the past to the present
The Marche’s astonishing 34 archaeological sites provides endless opportunities for exploration that will satisfy even the keenest archaeologists. The region is also marked by the Romanesque period, and in some places boasts almost miraculously intact Gothic wonders. The Renaissance also left a clear imprint, visible in the Urbino monuments. Finally, modern architecture has also made its contribution, thanks to Maestro Arnaldo Pomodoro’s artistry.
